Position Description 
 Medical Center, a level 1 trauma center is located in the south metro Denver area where it has been a proud member of the community for more than 110 years. An acute care hospital with 408 licensed beds, annually Hospital cares for more than 200,000 patients with a team of 2,000 dedicated employees, 500 volunteers and more than 1,400 physicians. With stroke door to treatment times averaging just 20 minutes, faster than any other facility in the world, Hospital serves as the Rocky Mountain Region’s referral center for the most advanced stroke treatment and was the state’s first Joint Commission certified Comprehensive Stroke Center. Swedish also serves as the region’s neurotrauma and orthopedic trauma provider and is the area’s only level I trauma facility with a dedicated burn and reconstructive center.
Duties
Supervises daily operations of trauma program.
Directs ongoing patient tracking, abstracting, and data entry of trauma service patients into the trauma registry data bank.
Supervises transfer of patient data to the state, and TQIP for benchmarking.
Responsible for trauma registry data and QA activities that comply with state and national guidelines to include the state trauma rules and regulations, the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma Optimal Guidelines, and Joint Commission criteria.
Meets all requirements of The Program Manager at a Level I Trauma Center set by the state of Colorado and the American College of Surgeons (ACS).
Assists with development and monitoring of the budget.
 
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree Nursing  Required
Master's degree MHA, MSN, MBA, or related field Preferred
 
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Current Colorado RN Licensure
TNCC provider status desired
 
Experience/ Skills: 
Experience as a Trauma  Director / Manager /Coordinator.
Must have experience with ACS reviews .
Proven  management and leadership experience required. 
Prefer experience as a Trauma Coordinator. If none, must have three years recent (within past four years) Emergency Department or Critical Care experience, preferably in a trauma center. Experience with Quality Improvement desired
