We are currently hiring a Community Liaison/ Outreach Coordinator to represent our program in the Tampa Bay area. We are looking for an experienced representative who has a passion for addiction treatment and recovery and who understands that this is a relationship business where the client’s best interest is the ultimate priority.
The Community Liaison/ Outreach Coordinator will lead business development and outreach activities in select geographic markets, to cultivate and sustain lasting relationships to generate desired utilization of the facility’s services. The Community Liaison / Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining census goals through provision of a consistent client population.
 
The right candidate will have 2+ years of medical or behavioral health sales experience, as well as pre-screening admission experience.  The position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently, excellent verbal/written presentation skills, as well as the ability to think creatively.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop new leads and manage existing customer relationships within accounts in the hospitals emergency departments, psychiatric emergency screening services, inpatient unit and pain management centers, psychiatrists, psychologists, mental health and substance abuse professionals, hospital social workers, discharge planners, primary care physicians and other community agencies, through face-to-face meetings.
  • Provide on-site screening to determine eligibility and appropriateness for admission into the program, where indicated.
  • Conduct in-services to healthcare providers to promote the services offered by Client
  • Monitor referrals and admissions, and plan an appropriate strategy to maximize referral potential
  • Maintain a positive and interactive presence at local hospitals, and other facilities
  • Coordinate all related community marketing activities and events
  • Maintain a competition informational file and contribute to the ongoing SWOT analysis
  • Develop a designated number of qualified business development face-to-face meetings and contacts per week, which will achieve the overall business development goals and objectives.
  • Work with other departments to help promote brand recognition
  • Assist in the selection and development of marketing and promotional materials
  • Track all relationships and contact in CRM
 
 
Job Qualifications: 
  • 2+ years of proven successful sales experience in medical or behavioral healthcare, substance-use or closely related field
  • Existing referral network and contacts within healthcare providers in the greater Tampa Bay area
  • Previous experience in business development related to healthcare provider systems
  • Strong understanding of the referral protocols within healthcare provider systems
  • Knowledge of addiction and mental health conditions
  • Familiarity with healthcare provider infrastructure
  • Willingness to “cold call” and develop relationships from first point of contact to regular referral status.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with both excellent verbal and written communication abilities are a must.
  • Must be driven and a self-starter
  • Must be a team player and can work independently.
  • Excel experience is required
  • Must have MS Office Skills and be comfortable with web based applications.
  • Must have valid State driver’s license
  • College Degree preferred
  • Existing relationships with hospital case managers highly desired
