The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of  our home health division  The coordinator will communicate with clients  and obtain need and requests for home health services . The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for filling shifts, having backups for already filled shifts and knowing availability of nurses each week. Attaining authorizations and ensuring all patients are covered with necessary medications and supplies.
 
Staffing Responsibilities:
  • Calling clients for all open orders in and recording them in the database
  • Calling all nurses for availability and documenting results in database
  • Visiting clients at least one time per month to maintain good rapport
  • Constantly recruiting and running Mass Calls monthly on Inactive, Pending, and Prospects in the database that have not been called in the last 30 days’ document results
  • Calling all working employees for time cards, when necessary
  • Participating in Job Fairs when requested
  • Identify Perm opportunities (Nurses and Clients)
 
HR Functions
  • Process and follow-up on all Walk-in applicants and Telephone inquiries
  • Have all Employee files updated in folders and in database in accordance with policy and procedures
  • Run Lic/Cert reports on a weekly basis for upcoming expired records
  • Gather Email address for all Temps to communicate info to them
  • Notify Temps of expiring credentials via phone & written notification
  • Keep all Docs information updated in database and scanned, if directed by Manager
  • Handle all benefits calls and explain process
  • General Office Functions
  • Answer phones in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist with staffing coordinating as needed
 
Experience and Education Required
  • Previous staffing experience is required
  • Previous hospital staffing experience required
  • Computer skills is a must
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Experience using staffing software/recruiting software
  • Must be able to multi task
  • Professional phone experience
