Our client is seeking Registered Nurses for their facility that specializes in the treatment of alcohol and substance abuse. Our client’s number one goal is the successful recovery of their clients. They are a licensed residential addiction treatment facility. They focus their efforts on helping their clients get started on the road to recovery by offering an intensive structured treatment model that includes detoxification and rehabilitation. They are staffed with a medical and clinical team that will work to ensure the safety and comfort of their clients’ while staying at their facility. 

  • Maintains open communication lines with facility staff, attending clinicians and Physicians, clients and families.
  • Ensure infection control practices and reporting procedures are in place.
  • Conducting urinalysis toxicology data analysis
  • Responsible for entering each order for all clients in your facility when given.
  • Responsible for triaging medical issues and preforming thorough patient assessments.
  • Enter communication notes regarding client’s symptoms and health related complaints into computer.
  • Keep communication with scheduling coordinators and doctors.
  • Responsible for HIV/Hepatitis and Nutrition groups for program and notes associated with groups.
  • Attend all scheduled Staff meetings.
  • Keep neat, written logs on Client’s activities
  • Bring all significant questions, concerns and complaints to the attention of the Counselors and/or Administrative staff.
  • Complete all applicable paperwork, i.e. medical logs, shift reports, MORs, etc.
  • Prompt and regular attendance.
  • Assist with Medical training of BHT’s when needed.
  • Be available for possible overtime if required.
  • Other duties as assigned by senior management.

Experience and Education Required

  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree Nursing 
  • 1 -2 years of experience in a Detox, ER, Critical care, or Urgent care a plus
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, clinical and administrative staff
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities at once with minimal supervision.
  • Must have valid a State Driver’s License           
  • Must maintain a current CPR certification                                  
  • Active State RN license in good standing
  • Must be experienced with medication administration
  • Must be able to accurately chart
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries
  • Experience with DCF Compliance and JCAHO compliance
