Our client is currently seeking a Medical Doctor/ partnership MD/DO with a DEA Buprenorphine Waiver for 100 Patients. This opportunity is for a majority partnership in a medical clinic, our client will provide the patients and all cost associated with a start-up clinic.  

The Medical Doctor examines, evaluates, diagnoses and treats addiction disorders and/or patients with a chemical dependency. He/she prepares and reviews case histories and obtains and evaluates data through interview techniques. He/she also diagnoses medical disorders and prescribes and evaluates the effectiveness of a wide range of therapeutic measures. The incumbent of this position recommends the disposition of addiction cases and advises on problems related to medical health and the prevention of medical disorders. 

Job Responsibilities
  • Conducting medical evaluations
  • Performs physical examinations, provides preventive health services and conducts follow up appointments for patients
  • Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient’s substance abuse and health care needs
  • Records physical findings, formulates plans and prognosis, based on patient's condition
  • Documents the delivery of care in the individual's electronic medical record
  • Discusses cases with clinical & nursing staff in order to prepare comprehensive patient care plans
  • Participates in treatment team meetings
  • Orders, schedules and/or performs laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures
  • Prescribes and monitors medications
Experience and Education Required
  • Board Certified MD or DO
  • At least 2 years within the addictions field
  • Experience with co-occurring disorders
  • Doctorate from an accredited university
  • DEA license for Buprenorphine for 100 Patients
  • Must have acquired all required Kentucky state licensures
  • Must have valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
  • Must maintain CPR and First Aid certifications
